To The Wonderful Team at Creative Patio Works, We’ve lived in our home in Granite Bay for 4 years. We are situated on an acre with a beautiful pool and a lovely backyard. Over the past 3 summers, from May to September, we have invested in three very large and expensive 11’ umbrellas with large bulky bases to allow for family and friends to enjoy the large patio area of our backyard. We entertain quite a bit during the summer months and we always find everyone huddled under the eve of the house during an outdoor party. This is the only place you could truly be in the shade, unless you are one of the lucky ones and grabbed a seat under one of the umbrellas, but quite honestly, it was still very hot and most folks ended up in the air conditioned house. It was difficult to keep a party outside. I’m a worry wart, so most of my time during a party, was spent moving or tilting the umbrella’s to accommodate the moving sun and to make sure my guests were in the shade.
When we reached out to Creative Patio Works to schedule an appointment, Serena was very pleasant and scheduled us within the week for an estimate. Sam our Sales Rep was very personable and sold us on the idea. Alex stopped by toward the end of the week and took the exact measurements and built us a sketch of how it would look, we discussed where we wanted the lights and the ceiling fan. We even had the opportunity to drive down the street and visit another couple who had just had a beautiful patio cover installed and it was great to see their design and hear how much they enjoyed their backyard since having a patio cover. We selected custom colors to match the exterior of the house and were told it would be completed within 2 weeks. Three days later supplies began to arrive and on the fifth day, the frame and the footings had been completed. Every evening, under an umbrella, my husband and I would sit outside and take in the progress and were very pleased with the structure. Within the next week the louvers were installed and then the fan and then the lights. The final touches of paint and last minute details to complete the design were finished. The service and perfection from the entire crew was first class from start to finish.
The following morning, we were excited to get outside while it was early, we arranged our furniture and literally spent the entire day in the backyard swimming, relaxing under the shade from the patio cover, enjoying the breeze from the ceiling fan and walking out into the yard so we could look back and admire this beautiful extended room on our house. We have had a graduation party here this past summer with 40 quests, I’ve had my Bunco Group over and we actually played Bunco outside and enjoyed the shade, the lights as dusk set in and the breeze from the fan. We’ve had several dinner parties this summer. I can honestly say that as a couple we have spent much more quality time relaxing in our backyard every day since the final completion in June. We have now moved into fall with chilly nights and have invested in a gas fire pit. We are outside in the evenings, under the patio cover, louvers open, looking up at the stars and enjoying the extension of our home. We are not alone, we have 3 dogs and we find them stretched out in the shade enjoying the outdoors much more now as well.
A few weeks ago we had a short rain fall, we sat outside, shut the louvers and enjoyed watching the rain drops fall into the pool. We were dry and comfortable. It was wonderful. We truly bought this home because of the back yard and we are so excited that we can now spend quality time with friends, family our 4 beautiful grandchildren and relax in the oasis of our backyard.
